Jonathan C. "John" Hudson (24 January 1919 - 8 April 1996) made a guest appearance on I Dream of Jeannie as Grover Caldwell, a family friend of General Stone, who works for the US State Department and informs the General that he's been selected for a European Ambassador position in the episode "Jeannie and the Marriage Caper" in Season 1.

Biography[]

Born and raised in Gilroy, California, Hudson served as Second Lieutenant in the US Army Air Corps during World War II, where he attained the rank of Second Lieutenant, before embarking on his acting career.

John is perhaps best remembered for his roles in the films Gunfight at the OK Corral with film star Burt Lancaster and G.I. Blues where he appeared opposite Elvis Presley. He was the twin brother of late fellow film/TV actor William Hudson. He appeared in numerous television shows, in guest appearances, such as Dragnet 1967, 77 Sunset Strip, Sea Hunt, Gunsmoke, and Adam-12.

In the 1940s, he was married to late film/TV actress Mary LaRoche.

Death[]

Hudson died at age 77 on 5 April 1996 in Los Angeles, California.
