(Season 5 and Series finale)
One Jeannie Beats Four of a Kind was the 24th episode of Season 5 of I Dream of Jeannie, and the 138th overall episode of the series. Written by James Henerson, the episode, which was directed by series co-producer Claudio Guzman, originally aired on NBC-TV on May 26, 1970.
There is a card shark working NASA over. After Tony and Roger win big at poker game which the Nelsons hosted, thanks to Jeannie, they are under suspicion of being cardsharks. Worse still, the mobsters who are the real cardsharks believe that Roger is a cardshark too, and give him an ultimatum; win for them or take a swim in the river wearing cement shoes.
This episode is a fair laugh fest though it is plotted like a cartoon with Mr. Big, or "The Boss" (Walter Burke) heading the Mob trying to seal money from Air Force Astronauts using a crooked poke game as a ruse. The talented Herbert Ruddley as a guest bogus Senator helps as he adds his talents to this one quite well.
